"An Indian Boy," contained in THE REVIEWER.
Richmond, VA: January 1924. Volume IV, Number 1 (internally noted as "No. 2"). Large octavo. Printed wrapper. Wrapper dusty and pulled around the staples, otherwise very good.
Edited by Emily Clark and Hunter Stagg (!), with later editorial responsibility handed to James B. Cabell and Paul Green. A curious, uneven, but highly interesting periodical, founded as a forum for southern literary works, but adding the distinction of hosting the first American publication of Ronald Firbank (October 1923) through the auspices of Carl Van Vechten, himself a frequent contributor as he is here. Other writers of note include Julia M. Peterkin, Amy Lowell, and Robert Nathan, among others. Stein's piece was not collected in book form until 1973. Very good. Item #801
