Enfield, Middlesex: [War Resisters' International:, 1930]. First edition. Octavo leaflet. [4]pp. Photographs and illustrations. Old folds from mailing, otherwise very good. Accompanied by a mimeographed letter signed in type by H. Runham Brown, indicating there will not be a summer issue of THE WAR RESISTER due to a lack of funds and forwarding the present leaflet, which summarizes the situations of the resisters Andrej Poliszczuk, Arndt Pekurinen, Eugène Guillot, Boris Peskoff, and Willy Otter. War Resisters’ International was founded in Bilthoven, Netherlands in March, 1921. Many of its founders had been involved in the resistance to the First World War: its first Secretary, Herbert Runham Brown, had spent two and a half years in a British prison as a conscientious objector. Brown was elected Chair of the conference, which takes place at least once every four years, for years 1946 to 1949. Item #766
