Portland, Maine: Thomas Mosher, 1905-6. Small 16 mo (3½ x 5¼). Four volumes. 425 copies printed on Imperial Mills Japan vellum, in flexible boards, two of the four titles sealed in parchment wrappers, all in separate brocade slide cases, and encased in a brocade decorated cabinet style box. All volumes originally sold separately. Cabinet box has some losses, otherwise very good plus. A very pretty set.
Old English Romances, second edition, consists of four numbered volumes: XXII: The Hollow Land; XXXII: Gertha's Lovers; XXXIII: Golden Wings, Svend and His Bretheren; and XXXIV: The Story of the Unknown Church, Lindenborg Pool, and A Dream. In this set Mosher brings together the entire series of medieval English romances printed in The Oxford and Cambridge Magazine for 1856. Item #581
